INCT-TB has the mission to develop new drugs to treat, vaccines to prevent and diagnostic tools to detect and differentiate Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the causative agent of tuberculosis (TB); integrate research groups with experience and knowledge in biochemistry, molecular biology, structural biology, immunology, microbiology, pharmacology and toxicology; form specialized human resources; and contribute to scientific and technological development of the country.
